About the Role
The Full-Time Music Therapist provides direct clinical and educational services to clients of varying ages and abilities. This role includes both music therapy and adaptive/traditional music instruction, with a primary focus on direct service and documentation. We have intentionally structured this role to support therapists in doing their best work. Paid admin time is included, and important responsibilities like assessments, parent communication, and care coordination are built into paid work hours.
Because services take place across a seven-county area, regular travel is part of the role. Whenever possible, sessions are scheduled by geographic area to support efficiency and work-life balance.

What You’ll Do
- Provide individual and group music therapy services
- Provide individual and group traditional and adaptive music lessons
- Conduct assessments and client evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment or lesson plans
- Document client participation, responses, and progress
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional clinical documentation
- Communicate consistently with families, caregivers, clients, and professionals
- Participate in parent communication and care coordination during paid work hours
- Collaborate with schools, facilities, medical providers, and community partners
- Support program development and implementation
- Represent Small Steps Music professionally and in alignment with company values
- Assist with special events, outreach, and related duties as needed

Who We’re Looking For
Qualified candidates must have:
- MT-BC certification or eligibility to sit for the national board examination
- LPMT licensure in Georgia or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Professional liability insurance
- Valid Georgia driver’s license, current insurance coverage, and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel throughout the Small Steps Music service area
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Position Summary
The Client Services & Operations Coordinator is a part-time, nonclinical support position responsible for helping ensure efficient daily operations across the practice. This position serves as a central point of coordination for nonclinical communication and operations. The role requires strong organization, professionalism, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Essential Functions
- Client Services and Administrative Support
- Respond to client inquiries received by phone, email, website forms, and other communication channels
- Support the intake process by gathering nonclinical information and routing inquiries appropriately
- Manage scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and waitlist coordination
- Send onboarding materials, reminders, and routine administrative communications
- Maintain accurate client, scheduling, and administrative records
- Support therapist calendar coordination and logistical planning
- Assist with office systems, forms, filing, and general administrative organization
- Maintain professional and timely communication with families, caregivers, and community partners
Operations Support
- Help coordinate day-to-day clinic and community-based service logistics
- Track recurring administrative tasks and support workflow follow-through
- Assist with room use, scheduling flow, and operational readiness
- Maintain organized digital and physical administrative systems
- Support recurring programs, workshops, and special events through planning and coordination
Materials, Inventory, and Logistics Support
- Maintain inventory of instruments, adaptive materials, office supplies, and program materials
- Organize storage areas and supply systems
- Prepare, restock, and organize therapist materials and session supplies
- Track low-stock, missing, or damaged materials and communicate replenishment needs
- Assist with supply ordering and logistics for services and programs
- Support setup and breakdown for events, workshops, and special activities as needed
Role Boundaries
- This is a nonclinical position. The Client Services & Operations Coordinator does not:
- provide music therapy or music instruction services
- make clinical recommendations
- interpret client progress
- discuss treatment decisions on behalf of therapists
- communicate clinical information beyond approved administrative or logistical matters
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of administrative, scheduling, customer service, or office coordination experience
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organization, time management, and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism
- Proficiency with email, calendars, spreadsheets, and standard office software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional, dependable, and service-oriented demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a therapy clinic, medical office, pediatric setting, school program, private practice, or related environment
- Experience with client intake, scheduling systems, or practice operations
- Experience with inventory, supply coordination, or materials organization
- Familiarity with healthcare, therapy, education, or family-centered service environments
- Experience with EMR, EHR, CRM, or scheduling platforms
- Associate degree or related coursework
- Bilingual skills

Compensation Range
- $20–$24/hour
- Expanded range for highly qualified candidates with strong clinic-operations experience: up to $27/hour
