Natalie Generally founded Small Steps Music, L.L.C. in 2010. She wanted to create a music therapy and music education company that would provide high quality, comprehensive music services for individuals and families.
Today, Small Steps provides services in seven counties. The Small Steps staff continues to support, nurture, and develop each individual’s abilities and areas of need through the use of innovative teaching strategies and enjoyable music interventions in a therapeutic environment. Kari HurstMusic Specialist and Lessons InstructorKari Hurst is from Columbus, Indiana but has lived in Georgia for 25 years. She currently resides in Moreland, GA. She received her Bachelor of Music Education from Indiana University Jacob school of music in 1995 and her Music Therapy Equivalency certificate in 2026. Kari has taught
piano lessons for 32 years and worked several years as a music educator in schools. She completed her internship at A. G. Rhodes in Atlanta, GA. Kari is interested in discovering each client’s unique relationship with music and understanding how that connection can be used therapeutically to support them in achieving their goals. In her free time, Kari enjoys walking her dog, hiking, and spending time with her adult children. |
