In order to hold the music therapist-board certified credential (MT-BC), a music therapist must complete the national examination offered by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
**As of January 1, 2014, the state of Georgia now requires individuals practicing music therapy to hold a license issued by the Georgia Secretary of State's Professional Licensing Division. - 1040 hours of clinical training at a National Roster Internship
